The low noise, circular parting disc steel support core is for fitting with diamond segments for cutting stone of all types, synthetic stone, concrete with and without reinforcement and fire-resistant materials as well as materials such as glass, steel and iron. A thin sheet is stuck on both sides of the steel core to damp the very high cutting noises. The damping sheets (2) can consist of different qualities such as white sheet deep drawn materials, aluminium etc. The damping sheets have different thicknesses according to the thickness and diameter of the core, from the thickness of a metal foil of 0.05 or 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm or thicker.
