The icing-preventing windscreen cover consists of a plastics sheet (4) fitted on the outside of the windscreen. Along the peripheral edges of the sheet, a number of permanent magnets (5) are fitted in pockets formed by the plastics sheet material. The plastics sheet is placed on the outside surface of the windscreen (1) and the magnets keep the sheet in place by clinging to the metal body of the car. To improve the insulating effect of the cover, a set of distancing elements (7) are provided on the plastics sheet on its side facing the windscreen, creating an airgap between the sheet and windscreen.
