The kite is rectangular in plan with tubular inflatable chambers along two sides. From the nose corner between these chambers a further tubular chamber (5) runs diagonally along the kite undersurface, forming a longitudinal keel. The rear ends of the edging chambers (6, 7) are linked by a tube (8) along the other diagonal, above the surface whereit crosses the first. Tube material is one or more layers of plastics foil, or plastics-impregnated fabric, as used for the rest of the kite. The surface is metallised, pref. aluminum-plated. The kite may have a common point for three converging hold lines, which may be used also for tow-line.
|
