The disc brake lining guide has a caliper accommodating the shoe and a mechanism thrusting the latter against the disc. The shoe plate (11) on which the lining (3) is mounted is set back away from the disc along its periphery, being typically angled rearwards. Alternatively the plate can be thicker along the periphery, or bosses can be provided along it. The design allows the max. amount of lining wear before this has to be replaced.
|
