<p>Roof cover plate, consisting of a substrate layer of Ca-contg., hydraulic inorganic material, e.g. cement, gypsum or Ca silicate opt. admixed with reinforcing fibres and an inorganic aggregate, and coated with a layer of colouring compsn. and/or a top layer, is protected against surface-discolouration, caused by black mould fungus growth, by admixing >=1 of substrate-, colour compsn.-, and/or top layers, e.g. of resin materials, with 0.01-10 (0.01-5) wt.%, w.r.t. layer, of a material, (I), releasing Cu-, Sn-, Pb- and/or Zn ions. (I) inhibit the growth of Ca-assimilating fungi, e.g. Alternaria and Dematium pullulans; prevent discolouration even on exposure to rain and wind, and increase roof coping life. Even white-coloured roof copings are not discoloured by adding Cu ion-releasing (I).</p> |
