In the mfr. of jodhpurs, the sliding clasp fasteners at the calf are so laid that the flat half sections run from the bottom of the leg sections at least over half the length of the leg slit, to form a wedge-shaped section tapering upwards. The construction allows the jodhpurs to be worn by riders with various calf sizes, and to give a smooth fit within the riding boots. The sections of the flat sliding clasp fastener can run almost the whole length of the slit, and form a right-angled triangle so that one line runs parallel to the edge, one line is parallel to the leg seam, and the hypotenuse runs to the outer side of the slit. There are hooks to hold the flap in place at the overlap of the section.
|
