Timepiece with remote interrogation of light tracks - has optical conductors for signals displaying time controlled by gears and pulse generator

The timepiece consists of a transparent cylinder (1) with light-sound tracks applied in sound-movie technique. 24 tracksa re used for the hours, 0-23, and 60 tracks numbered 0 to 59 for minutes. The cylinder contains a light source to intensify the light-sound tracks. An optical conductor is positioned above each track, with a shutter (4) in front of the conductors. There is also a gear system with 24 or 60 teeth and holes so arranged, as to transmit from only one optical conductor at a time. A pulse generator supplies a short pulse each minute to activate a relay (1). This will operate the gear system, to index it in minute steps. Access is obtained via a remote controlled receiver which produces a signal to operate a switch of a motor with an amplifier and a lamp, or an acoustic display.
