The automatic dialer is for dial type telephones, with the number, from two to fifteen digits, being programmed into the unit using thumbwheels (12) on top and the number read through a side window (114) so they are adjusted on the diallers toothed wheel storage discs. The units is clipped (102), with some suction (106) support, over the telephone dial (6) and a side lever pressed (77) when dialling is to be started. The electronic timer (70) when provides power to the motor (16) for the time required to drive the bottom plate and peg (54), which grip the dial by insertion in dial holes, for the time required to dial each number as selected.
