Granular material consisting of microporous, substantially hollow granules of lead powder, i.e. a powdered mixture of lead and lead oxides, which comprises 0.5-2.0% by weight of a binder, has a particle diameter of 40-500 //cm and a bulk density of 2.4-3.4 g/cm<s3>s, and a method for the production of this material according to which a suspension of lead powder, binder and water is heated to 100-150`C and thereafter is spray-dried to granules. These granules can be used as the active substance in an eletrode plate in a lead accumulator. |
