PURPOSE:To provide a fuel gas odorant that produces sufficient odor in low concentration which consists of specific odor-generating component, acetylenic hydrocarbon, and tert-butylmercaptan. CONSTITUTION:Two or more of odor-generating components (A) selected from methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, allyl methacrylate, ethyl propionate, methyl n-butyrate, methyl isobutyrate, and pulenyl acrylate is added with 20wt% or more of, or preferably 35-50wt% of 4-8C acethylenic hydrocarbon such as butyne-1, vinylacethylene, hexyne, and, as needed, 2wt% or more of, or preferably 5-20wt% of tert-butylmercaptan, thereby providing a fuel gas odorant. This odorant in amount of 50wt.ppm or more, preferably 100wt.ppm is added to fuel gas. |
