PURPOSE:To stabilize the furnace situations by appropriately maintaining the furnace ventilation, by estimating the actual degradation degree from the temperature elevating speed of charged sintered ore, gas composition, and particle size distribution of sintered ore and RDI, and selectively charging sintered ore differing in RDI. CONSTITUTION:The reducing degradation degree of sintered ore is predetermined individually for particle size distribution, RDI, gas composition, and temperature elevation speed. In a blast furnace concerned, a sonde 1 is passed over the powder zone where the temperature of a charge 2 is about 900 deg.C or less, and is secured to the furnace body 3. The temperature elevation speed of the charge 2 and gas composition are found by means of magnetic sensor, thermometer, and gas sampling pipe furnished to the sonde 1. The actual degradation degree of sintered ore is estimated from the relation of these values with the particle size distribution, RDK and reducing degradation charging, and selected sintered ore having necessary RDI as one condition of maintaining the ventilation in the furnace shaft at the set point is charged. |
