PURPOSE:To inform the opposing party for the presence of error, by compulsively changing the value of the block check character received at the occurrence of reception error through the adaptor connected between the cluster controller and work station. CONSTITUTION:The data of the host computer 1 enters the cluster controller C/C4 via the data net 2 and through the MODEM3 transmission line. The C/C4 transmits data to the work stations WS51, 52 or adaptor 6 in in-line connection, and the adaptor 6 transmits data to WS53 via the MODEM7 and transmission line. When the adaptor 6 detects error at the occurrence of reception error, the block check character received is compulsively inverted to let the reception side judge the presence of data error. Thus, the reception side requests the retransmission of message to the transmission side or the transmission side automatically retransmits the message, to recover the error. |
