<p>The coupling is particularly for use between a towing vehicle and a trailer, etc. At the rear of the towing vehicle is a vertical coupling plate (1) in a plane at right angles to the travel direction, turning in this plane and lockable. Near one end of the plate is a conventional ball hitch (7) engaging with a mating socket on the trailer, while at the other end there are two towing eyes (9) at right angles to the plate. The hitch member of a towed implement such as a plough fits between the eyes, and is held there by a pin passed through the openings (10) in them.</p> |
