The hinge leaf fixing replaces traditional bolting and comprises a unitary piece without other fixing pieces. Play between leaf and shutter is eliminated. The hinge leaf is a metal band or elongated plate having an eyelet for the hinge axle and having its edges cut to form narrow triangles (6) or teeth long enough to penetrate the shutter and exit at the other side. The projecting teeth are returned into the wood of the shutter and hidden with a wooden plate.
