Recording or reproduction material useful in reprography comprises a sensitive layer comprising a chromogenous compound which can react with a phenol derivative and a complex product capable of being decomposed to give a phenol derivative which can react with the said chromogenous compound to form a coloured image the said complex product being an organophosphorus or organosilicon derivative of 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene.
