The code unit of connector for printed circuit boards prevents insertion into a wrong power supply unit which may damage the circuit. The design includes two parts where a coding cam with small coding prongs of one part interact with coding lugs of the other part. One post carries the straight cam with coding prongs of which two prongs slope towards the printed circuit board. The other part is attached to the connector and includes an elastic tongue forming a retainer together with the head securing the connector sections. The coding lugs of one part are between the tongue and head.
