The typewriter is specif. for use with accounting and sales documentation and is designed to handle a range of cards of different sizes and thicknesses as well as continuous paper rolls. The print head (9) operates against either continuous paper roll that passes around a contact roller (1) and is supplied by a feed unit (12). Cards (10) may be inserted between guides (30) that are supported on bars (28) running the length of the carriage. The guides are located along the carriage and may be moved along the length to accommodate different formats. A transport roller (14) may be externally driven to provide time feed of the cards during the printing process.
