<p>The wheel-barrow has one or two wheels carried on a single axle. The wheel is provided with at least one brake actuated (9) from at least one hand grip (8), which is longitudinally movable relative to the end of a longitudinal frame member (7) of the barrow and actuates the brake when moved towards (12) the person pushing the barrow. The handgrip may form the upper bar of a parallelogram linkage (8, 20, 14) whose parallel lower bar (14) is fixed to the end of the frame member. The connection to the wheel brake may be via a Bowden-type pull cable (9, 23).</p> |
