The offset printing machine inking mechanism has an ink vessel into which a roller dips to deliver ink to a further roller working with it. One or more additional rollers (7), immersed in the ink vessel (1), run against the main one (3). It can be of smaller diameter, typically between one-third and a half that of the main roller, and it can be arranged to rotate freely under friction drive from the main roller. The pressing force of the main dipping roller may be adjustable. The additional roller(s) may be mounted in front, or behind the main roller.
