Suspended mine monorail track rail joint - has extra pin through loop to guide tongue, and hinge swivel stops

Rails to be connected have end halves of a suspendable horizontal hinge, and a top curved sliding tongue and a forked tongue guide at opposite ends. They form a unit with a closed loop pierced by a clamping pin, on monorail suspension tracks in mines. The rear of the loop unit crosses over into a downward forward running face edge. The loop units, thus extended, is pierced by another heavy clamping pin, to guide the tongue. Halves of a guide batten are formed on the root of the loop unit, and inside the sliding tongue, with stops acting together to limit hinge swivel in one direction. Tongue guiding is improved, and swivelling in the opening direction is checked.
