The system has a circuit, comprising a collector and a heat exchanger in an electrically heated water storage tank. A circulation pump drives a heat medium through the circuit with parallel branches containing several collectors, or their sections. In each branch is provided a collector temp. sensor (22) and an electrically controlled valve (24) at the output of each collector section. A further reference temp. sensor (40) is provided at the storage tank. The circulation pump (20) is controlled by a temp. comparison circuit, being switched on when temp. difference between the reference sensor and one collector sensor has exceeded a preset value. The comparison circuit opens at least the electrically controlled valve in that branch, where the collector outlet temp. difference is highest. The circuit pref. has several adjustable comparators (42, 42') whose outputs are supplied to a valve controlling relay via an amplifier (43).
