The device is intended for a door lock wih a casing containing at least one cylinder lock. An externally conical protective housing surrounds the cylinder lock outer end. On both side surfaces of the door, cover shields are screwed in position. They have each an aperture at the position of the protective housing of the cylinder lock(s) which is larger than the narrow end of the conicla protective housing, but smaller than the latter wider end. Thus the aperture serves as a fastener for the protective housing.
