<p>The microminiature electrical delay line utilises an underived filter formed by depositing a film of permalloy on a quartz or other dielectric substrate. A layer of quartz is deposited over the permalloy film. Then, a number of microminiature thin film inductance coils are deposited on the dielectric layer and joined together electrically in series. A top layer of quartz is then deposited over the interconnected coils and a strip of permalloy is deposited over the top dielectric layer to extend across the coils. A gap is provided in the strip of permalloy at the central axis of each coil.</p> |
