<p>Below or close to a machine for domestic purposes using water, on the floor, a humidity detector is positioned. This is connected to an electronic or electrical circuit of a conventional type, which, when the floor is wet, closes the magnetic valve in the line connecting the fresh water supply to the inlet of the machine. Safety device comprising detector, leads and circuit is a separate unit, supplied from the mains, which, when there is water on the floor cuts off the supply to the machine. Response of the detector to moisture can be adjusted and if the detector is missing, the supply is switched off. Device prevents completely serious damage by water since, as soon as there is any leak whatever in the system, the feed of the mains water is interrupted.</p> |
