PURPOSE:To make inconspicuous the joint of a part printed by each nozzle and to improve the quality of an image in an electrification and deflection type ink jet plotter which has several nozzles, by making slightly higher or lower a charging voltage for ink drops which are deflected to the extreme end of the printed part. CONSTITUTION:Data are read into a shift register 100, a switching circuit 110 is opened and a voltage is applied to the charging electrodes of a charging electrode array 120 to electrify ink particles ejected from an ink head. Electrification timing is then determined by a charging pulse generation circuit 130. A step wave signal (b) is generated by a charging information signal generation circuit 140 and a charging signal amplifier circuit 160. Only a charging voltage for the extreme end of a part printed by each nozzle is synthesized with a signal from an AC or noise signal generation circuit 150 so that the charging voltage is made irregularly and slightly lower or higher than a prescribed charging voltage. This results in making white or black lines inconspicuous and improving the quality of an entire image. |
