Drain water heat-recovery tank - has filtration and pumping equipment

The tank recovers heat from drain water collected in it, and is equipped with filtration and pumping equipment for the water. The pumping equipment is typically a motor-driven auger (6, 7) mounted in a pipe (4) sloping diagonally upwards from the tank bottom to a point below the level of the inlet to the tank (1). The auger motor can be cut in and out by a level switch, and it is controlled dependent on the flow rate, typically by an electronic unit.
