Nuclear safety enclosure gap sealing - by hinged segments with elastic buffers

Gap of 250mm is necessary between the safety enclosure of a nuclear power station and ceilings to prevent damage by thermal or other displacements. This gap is sealed by concrete segments which bridge over the gap and contact the enclosure with elastic buffers. This provides protection against radiation but allows a free expansion.
