<p>The briefcase or similar portable container is particularly designed for use by public figures, to protect them from attack. There is a shield which unfolds and which is made in a number of sections. This unfolding mult-section shield is secured in place by a locking device which can be released. The shield can be secured to the outside, particularly the underside, or it is guided by rails in a chamber open to the underside, and it can be formed by a number of layers made of strong woven plastics fibre. When the case is held up high, the shield hangs down and covers the front of the useris body and his legs.</p> |
