Coal agglomerate extrusion press - with edge mill runners over die plate preceded by coal discharge slots

An extrusion press to produce agglomerates of granular coal as fuel for fixed bed gasifiers under pressure consists of a revolving distributor for four channels which are sepd. at their discharge ends by four edge mill runners. The coal is spread ahead of these runners to a uniform height above a die plate which has convergent openings for the extrusion of the agglomerates. This press prevents undesirable size reduction or drying of the charge and achieves a uniform spread over the die apertures.
