The system provides bone fractures with osteo-synthesis plates. The plate may be prepared from composite unhardened material and this material is kept is store, to be finally shaped after a precise diagnosis has been made, and then hardened. The shaping can be such as to give the desired pre-loading after hardening and securing to the bone. A self-heating mould or press can be used, of adjustable shaped, to assist in the modelling and shaping process.
