<p>The device for releasably connecting a person to a sail-board wishbone-boom involves a harness on the rider and a jamming-cleat on a sliding fitting on the boom. A line releasable from the cleat by pulling its free end links the two. The cleat (11) plus a guide-roller (10) on its entry side are mounted on a block (2) linked to a slider (3) on the boom (4), cleat-entry-side towards the boom. The line (9), stopped either to the harness (1) or to the block and running through a sheave (12) on the harness, is taken to the cleat around the roller.</p> |
