Closure for the tip over lid fitted to a suction and pressure container used especially as a container on tanker vehicles. The closure includes a connecting element adjustable in its axial direction and anchored on the side of the container which passes through a counter bearing on the side of the lid and is locked by a swivelling bolt. The connecting element is made as hammer head screw (8) which has a rigid bearing on the lid and which is adjustable through a thread in a bearing box (6) located in flange on the side of the container.
