<p>Use is made of a device for applying fluid glue to end faces of battens of wood, or similar, being butt-jointed together, esp. in making frames. A conveyor feeds connecting elements to a dividing position, where an individual one is cut away from a strip comprising a number of them, and then placed in a driving-in position. A driving plunger drives it into battens, which are positioned on a working platform by a clamping device while this is done. This ensures effective mechanical connection, and permits glue application to joint surfaces.</p> |
