A brake-signal transmitter (44) transmits to an electronic control logic (15) the value of the desired vehicle deceleration and a deceleration responsive device (25) mounted on the vehicle transmits to the control logic the value of the actual vehicle deceleration. The control logic adjusts the brake pressure supplied by a pressure modulator (5) for each brake by a signal dependent upon the difference between the desired value and actual value of the vehicle deceleration. The brake system disclosed is an all digital system and is not temperature sensitive. The brake system also includes an antiskid device which, on being actuated by wheel skid sensors, logic control of the breaks. A pressure gauge 9 may provide the control logic with a signal corresponding to brake fluid pressure which is limited to an upper limit by the control logic. The antiskid device may vary the upper limit. <IMAGE>
