1530571 Ammoxidation process for the preparation of nitriles, SUN VENTURES Inc 7 Jan 1977 [1 June 1976] 00509/77 Addition to 1518413 Heading C2C The invention comprises an ammoxidation process for the preparation of a nitrile wherein reactant gases comprising a C 1-6 alkyl substituted hydrocarbon oxygen or a molecular oxygen-containing gas, and ammonia are passed over an ammoxidation catalyst in a fluidized bed system, at least part of the oxygen or molecular oxygen-containing gas being distributed at multiplicity of positions throughout the catalyst beds. Preferably the process is carried out under pressure. The catalysts are preferably supported on an aluminous or siliceous carrier or support. |
