PROCESS FOR PRODUCING CRYSTAL CLEAR SAP WATER EXTRACTED FROM MAPLE SAP

摘要

A process for producing crystal clear maple sap water extracted from maple sap before the production of maple syrup is described. The maple sap is subjected to a first reverse osmosis treatment before the maple sap is sent to the boiler/evaporator to increase the concentration of sugar in the sap water which results in cost savings for the production of maple syrup. The extracted sap water is shipped to a bottling plant where it is subjected to a second reverse osmosis treatment prior to bottling to produce a crystal clear purified potable maple sap water.
