PURPOSE:To prevent double printing operation by detecting the edge of a print medium by a reflection type sensor and by discharging the print medium when the edge is not detected by this reflection type sensor. CONSTITUTION:Gate G, which receives close signal RCS of a transport roller, signal UES from a detection sensor when the edge of the upper terminal surface of a print medium and a signal from monostable T that sets prescribed timing after detecting the edge, sends its output to FF-F. Then, FF-F sets with reset signal RES right before the start of suction, for example, and outputs signal RSOK ''1'' setting the print medium when the output of gate G and signal RSS from a reflection type sensor are sent. If there is not signal RSS, signal RSOK is at ''0'' as NG and the print medium is discharged without being set. Therefore, if no signal is outputted owing to a fault of the reflection type sensor, the print medium is not set, so that double printing operation can be prevented. |
