摘要 FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment, namely to ablation of biological tissue using radio-frequency energy. Ablation device of biological tissue includes an expandable support member, having a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is made so that it is located on an arc orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the expandable support member, and it has a smaller value than full length along the longitudinal axis of the expandable support member, wherein the first portion of the expandable support member has an exterior surface with the first surface area, expansion resistant reinforcing element having the first side with the first surface area and the second side opposite to the first side, wherein the second surface area, in fact, is equal to the first surface area, wherein the entire first side is rigidly connected to the exterior surface of the first portion of the expanding support member, and expansion of the first portion is limited by, at least, the expansion resistant reinforcing element so that the first portion is adapted to have a smaller expansion index than that of the second portion, and an operative element rigidly attached to the second side of the expansion resistant reinforcing element, herewith the operative element has surface area, in fact, equal to the first surface area. In the second assembly of the device the expanding support member has the first portion with curved surface, which is located along the arc, orthogonal longitudinal axis of the expanding support member, and passes by the value less than the full length along longitudinal axis of the expanding support member. System for ablation of tissue at a target site in an esophagus includes an expandable member and a radio-frequency (RF) ablation element to perform ablation, which includes a plurality of RF electrode pairs, wherein a width of each RF electrode and a spacing between adjacent RF electrodes are selected in such a way to allow depth-controlled ablation at the target site. Third assembly of the device to perform ablation at a target site in an esophagus additionally includes a support for electrodes, including flexible inextensible substrate, and multiple radio-frequency (RF) electrode pairs on the second side of the support.
