Internally located liquid dispenser for dishwasher - uses reservoirs for washing liquid placed in corners of dishwasher and giving metered doses of liquid under program control

The injection of washing liquid into a dish washing machine is controlled by a mechanical valve mechanism in the base of storage cartridges (15,16) placed in the rear lower corners of the dishwashing machine enclosure. A rotating spray arm (14) is placed in the base of the dishwasher enclosure, and the cartridges are clear of the rotation of the arm. The injection of controlled amounts of dishwashing liquid is obtained by the use of a tapered valve which when down allows fluid into the measuring chamber (17), but blocks its exit. When moved upwards under program control, the valve blocks the reservoir outlet and allows the measured liquid to flow into the washing chamber.
