PURPOSE:To know the cause of a trouble, a paper jamming position, etc., at a look and to display them even after a power source is turned off, by applying a graphic pattern, which utilizes an electrochromic material, to the display of a self-diagnostic display device. CONSTITUTION:On a display screen 20, the transportation path of a form is shown in conformity with the sectional shape of, for example, a copying machine, printer, etc., and display parts 21-27 using electrochromic materials are provided along the transpotation path to turn on selectively corresponding to a part where paper is jamming. Further, display parts 28 and 29, etc., using electrochromic materials to display troubles of a driving system or an optical system, etc., are provided if required. |
