The die positioning device is for use when stamping fold lines in sheets of cardboard etc. for forming into boxes, and comprises a profiled section fitting against the punch strip, the die defining the fold lines. The die (3) and the device (1) are secured together by edges (2) formed on the latter and which fit against the sides of the die, forming a dovetail joint.
