A gearbox device for a motor vehicle with a combustion engine, which is arranged transversely in the vehicle at one end of it, has a gearbox which is arranged transversely and connected by way of a clutch to the crankshaft of the engine, a final reduction gear which meshes with an output gear of the gearbox, a differential fixed on one side of the final reduction gear and an axle connected to the differential. A transmission device is connected to an output shaft of the gearbox. The transmission device contains a transmission shaft and a backgear, which is provided between the output shaft of the gearbox and the transmission shaft at one end opposite the final reduction gear. A cardan shaft is connected to the transmission shaft by way of bevel gears for driving the other axle for the four-wheel drive. |
