The pressure control valve is particularly for beer etc. A housing contains a self-adjusting, single-stage, pressure reduction valve and a pressure relief valve. The reduction valve is in a long cylindrical bore, in which the needle portion of a valve tappet passes through a bush with an O-ring seal so as to divide it into high and low pressure chambers. The control valve opens and shuts as the valve head on the tappet lifts off or bears against the O-ring. The bore (4) extends axially w.r.t. the pressure vessel, and the high pressure chamber (H) in the bore is connected directly to the vessel outlet. The needle (11) portion of the tappet is a clearance fit in the O-ring (3), and a diaphragm mounting hub (16) has a tubular extension with a transverse bore (14) sealed by a rubber hose (5) so that the low pressure chamber (N) can be connected to atmosphere.PS.
