Periodically acting impact forces are superposed on the individual particles of the bulk material, which is discharged from the container, approximately at the bottom thereof, after passing through a dropping section. A device, which serves to carry out the method, comprises corrugations with radially outwardly protruding impact arms which execute a shaking movement upon movement of the corrugations.
