<p>PURPOSE:To utilize the pressure energy of a nonadsorbed component gas emerging from an adsorption tower effectiely in an adiabatic expansion process by subjecting said gas to heat exchanging with high-temp. mixed gases after boosting in separation and the like of N2 and O2 in air. CONSTITUTION:The cooling air after boosting passed through a booster 28 and a heat exchanger 61 is fed into an asdsorption tower 1, where O2 is adsorbed on an adsorbent. The N2 left therein is concentrated and removed and this N2 is supplied as a refrigerant to the heat exchanger 61, whereby it is subjected to heat exchanging with air. The gaseous N2 raised of temp. is fed to an expansion turbine 67, where it is adiabatically expanded, so that the turbine 67 is operated by this. The N2 dropped in pressure as a result of adiabatic expansion is delivered out to prescribed apparatus through a gas transfer pipe 68. During this time, a desorption process is executed in one adsorption tower 2.</p> |
