<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a desired document efficiently by selecting one variable information block or blocks to be inserted among many variable information groups, and by inserting the selected block information into a stored fixed document at a desired position. CONSTITUTION:Through the operation of a character key group 30a and a function key group 30b on a keyboard, fixed document data is stored in the fixed document information area 34B of a document memory 34, variable document data to be inserted into the fixed document is stored in the variable document information area 34A, and various kinds of format information for the insertion are stored in the format information area 34c. An insertion indication for data to this memory 34 is made by an insertion control circuit 43 which inputs the outputs of a system control circuit 32 and a character discriminating circuit 42. The output of this circuit 43 is supplied to an address circuit 35 and on the basis of an indication from the circuit 43, the variable data group is retrieved to select the variable data which corresponds to the indication information, thereby printing the data on a printer 38 together with the fixed data.</p> |
