Phosphonium salts of N-phosphonomethylglycine and their use as herbicides and plant growth regulants

Novel phosphonium salts of N-phosphonomethylglycine are disclosed herein, having the formula <IMAGE> in which R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of C1-C10 alkyl and phenyl. The compounds are useful as herbicides and plant growth regulants.
