PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preservation liquid capable of reducing silicon dissolution, in a recording head having an ink flow path formed of a silicon material, the preservation liquid also having excellent ink introduction properties to the ink flow path.SOLUTION: An aqueous preservation liquid is for use in an inkjet type recording head having an ink flow path formed at least partially of a silicon material. The preservation liquid contains polyethyleneglycol with number-average molecular weight of 400 or higher, filled in the ink flow path when an ink is not filled. The content (mass%) of an ethyleneoxide component of the polyethyleneglycol in the preservation liquid is 3.0-20.0 mass% with regard to a total mass of the preservation liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
