This device for the durable and tamperproof assembly of parts such as identification tags, particularly for cattle, using tongs with clamping jaws (13), essentially comprises a hollow tubular rivet (6) into which can slide from either or both sides the shanks (7) of pins (8) which have an undercut (10). The rivet is positioned on one side on the tag (2) which is fitted on the jaw (13) of the tongs, the tag (1) being fitted onto the other jaw of the tongs; one end of the rivet (6) is pushed with its pin into a seat provided on the tag (2); by squeezing the tongs, the ear (12) is first pierced, then the other end of the rivet with its pin (8) engages in a seat in the tag (1), and as the tongs are squeezed home the ends of the rivets (6) are opened out (15), with the result that the washers (4) and tags (1 and 2) remain locked either side of the ear (12). <IMAGE> |
