An electromagnetic flowmeter is equipped with a measurement recorder which consists of a metallic tubular element (1), through which the fluid medium flows and which is provided on its inner surface with electrically insulating cladding (2), and of measurement electrodes (3) which are connected to the fluid medium. For screening against external disturbance parameters, the measurement electrodes (3) and their power-supply wires (6) which lead to in each case one preamplifier (7) are provided with screening cups (4) and coaxial screening elements (8) respectively, which are connected in an electrically conductive manner to the output of the associated preamplifier (7). In order to prevent leakage currents between the measurement electrodes (3) and the metallic tubular element (1), a screening plate (10), which is likewise connected to the output of the preamplifier (7), is arranged in an insulated manner around each measurement electrode (3), in a section of the metallic tubular element (1). <IMAGE>
